When you have news, tell Terry Crews: In-N-Out has some updates, straight from the mouth of their owner/president Lynsi Snyder in an interview with actor Terry Crews. The California burger chain is considering expanding their Animal Style into Arkansas, Mississippi, and Oklahoma, since those states sit along the supply route already serving its Tennessee locations. I guess since they are going in and out anyway, it makes sense. (more)
Time for the next spooky season: ACA open enrollment for 2027 coverage is open through December 15, with higher premiums (a bronze plan for a 40-year-old nonsmoker is up 34% from 2025) and fewer options as 11 insurers, including Cigna, fully or partly exit the marketplaces. The expiration of the enhanced subsidies and rising care costs are driving the increases. (more)
The next phase in the Oceans franchise: Hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance, the biggest crypto theft ever. About $3 billion of it has been frozen, and Binance has promised to cover all losses. (more)
By the numbers

The Financial Rebellion Way
Last week we talked about dopamine, this week we’re talking endorphins. Literally the body’s “natural morphine,” these natural pain killers make you feel good fast.
Financial service companies, like predatory lenders or prediction markets, play to your endorphins. Spend now, feel good now, and deal with the high interest rate consequences later.
Here is the unfortunate truth: buy now, pay later is messing with your brain chemistry. Becoming financially rebellious is learning to flip it so the good feeling comes from paying stuff off.
So, tackle that debt. Automate your investments. Create a named savings account and increase your automatic investments by 50 bucks per week. Train your brain to crave the endorphins that come from building wealth, not destroying it.

Side Hustle Differently
Each week, we focus on money-making opportunities for a side hustle that could potentially become a full-time venture. No MLM schemes, no “passive income” lies, just real strategies for stacking cash outside your 9-5.
‘Tis The Season (To Make Money)
As the year wraps up, it’s time to wrap up an obscene amount of gifts for end of the year festivities. Whether you’ve saved up all year or are looking at your bank account with panic, it never hurts to hustle on the side and make a few extra bucks before the New Year.
Here are some ideas for some holiday side hustles:
Seasonal retail or warehouse work
Christmas light or decoration installation
Food or grocery delivery (it’s cold and people want to stay home)
Selling unused stuff to make room for all your presents (offer to sell other people’s stuff for a commission)
Pet sitting or dog walking
House sitting
End of year tutoring
Holiday baking
Big Picture: The weather might be cooling down, but the income stream is warming up. Whatever hustle you choose, just get started. You can do it. That’s a wrap.
From the podcast: Chris Lewis is a college student whose money videos have pulled 900,000 views since June. Here's how he did it.

Bank Like a Rebel with a Credit Union
You Own the Place: As a member you're an owner, not a transaction.
David vs. Goliath Energy: Big traditional banks primarily exist to serve shareholders while credit unions exist to serve their members.
Better Loan and Deposit Rates: Lower rates on auto loans and mortgages. Higher rates on checking and savings accounts.
